61st Ohio Infantry Regiment Monument

Upon arriving from Emmitsburg around 1:00 p.m. on July 1, 1863, the unit was deployed as a skirmish line ahead of its brigade and advanced toward Oak Hill. Later, it provided support to a section of Dilger’s Battery. During the Battle of Gettysburg, the unit sustained 6 killed, 36 wounded, and 12 missing.
